The Views

January to April 2012. Our views from the office.

Southbank Centre has a special season celebrating North Indian culture. At the start of our meeting, that just meant these beautiful colours next to our table, halfway through it meant two bands competing for our ears. More of a noisy meeting but we did get a free concert during breaks… Royal Festival Hall, Southbank, London.

Early Saturday meeting in London, downstairs at Le Pain almost completely empty. Are mugs/cups without handles a good thing? We had a divided opinion between us Love the tea, coffee, free WIFI and brick arched ceiling. Le Pain Quotidien, Festival Terrace, Southbank, London.

Three hours, two drinks, buckets of rain, emails sent and three PDFs created. Costa Coffee, Southend High Street, Essex, UK.

Can’t begin to tell you how pleased we are to have found this place. Short walk from Victoria station, there aren’t many tables (cosy) but the food, tea and coffee are superb. Huge blackboard menu behind, freshly baked cakes – can recommend the carrot cake and if you’re feeling daring, try the parsnip cake. Pimlico Fresh, Wilton Road, London, UK.

Fourth Floor of NHS co-working space near Oxford Street, great views (again) of London rooftops but four very long flights of stairs to get there.  NHS hub, Margaret Street, London.

One of Costa’s concept stores on Great Portland Street. Lunch time meeting, very busy space but bagged ourselves this table. Costa Coffee, Great Portland Street, London.

Spent the morning in the depths of the London Wall, round the corner from Liverpool Street. Amused by and tempted to pick up the ukelele. See the last time we were here back in October.  Morning spent in the Greenbelt offices, London Wall, London.

2 x Medium Black Americanos, busy day working on the laptop in a busy Costa. Costa Coffee, Southend High Street, UK.
